via Alta, 150 , Mantignana 06073 Corciano (Perugia)
An austere 16th-century lookout has become a refined agriturismo along the hills of Umbria, between Perugia and Lake Trasimeno, right near the medieval hamlet of Corciano, one of the loveliest hamlets in Italy. The villa is located on the outskirts of a centuries-old holm oak forest, in a vast protected area with unique characteristics. It is an ideal place for the couple and for those who loves the relax and to stay in quite of the nature.
The farm is housed in an ancient 'border post', skillfully restored to maintain the historical elements, built in the form of a tower along the path that travelers were forced to follow to avoid the marshy lands of the ford. The feeling that you feel in this place is that of being in a small village where, once, life was marked by the changing of seasons and agricultural activities.
The old post office is composed of three apartments with fully equipped kitchen, managed directly by the owner Roberta, who lives in part of the main building with her husband Marco and son Francesco, thus ensuring the familiar welcome of the Umbrian people. All rooms are furnished with antique furniture. It will be possible to use chests of drawers, sideboards, showcases and decorated beds, recovered between travel and markets, in pleasant and refined environments equipped with modern comforts.
The company, conducted strictly with certified organic criteria, produces high quality oil to taste as well as homemade biscuits and jams, which you will find as a gift in the welcome basket in each apartment, pleasant lazing in the loft available to guests listening to the sound of the piano or, for those who want, in front of the only television on the farm.
From the large terrace at the edge of the pool the view embraces the valley below, the shady forest of oaks and rows of olive trees invite you to relax with walks or bike rides.
