Casa Zuffada, a magical place in the heart ofOltrepo' Pavese, among vineyards, woods and meadows.
It is an entirely stone structure located on top of a hill in the municipality of Ruino at 600m, from which there is a 360-degree view as far as Mount Rosa, Milan, Mount Penice.
The farmhouse offers its guests peace, tranquility, simplicity, silence, love of nature. Walking in the meadows, vineyards, breathing clean air at 600 meters, running, biking or horseback riding, admiring starry nights. disconnect from daily life, slow down and regenerate.
The property includes 20 hectares of woods, meadows, fruit trees and a vineyard of 7,000 Pinot Noir plants for the steady production of about 7,000 bottles of Metodo Classico of the highest quality, to capture the scents of this land.
The accommodation
The farmhouse is the result of a skilful and patient renovation that lasted more than 5 years while respecting the original structure and history, using only natural materials and eco-renewable energy sources.
Two double bedrooms, with private bathrooms, underfloor heating, a living room with a wood-burning stove and a rich breakfast room with a fireplace are at the total disposal of guests.
Activities and surrounding
Nearby of considerable interest are the Castle of Torre degli Alberi (owned by the Dal Verme family)-where a funerary stele from the Julio-Claudian period dedicated to Ottone Macedone and Pollia is preserved-and the Sanctuary of Montelungo whose history dates back to the time of Charlemagne.
In addition, you can visit the many castles of the Oltrepò; historic and characteristic towns such as Ruino, Canevino, Zavattarello, Varzi, Golferenzo, Santa Maria della Versa; taste renowned wines at local wineries and Oltrepò delicacies at excellent restaurants (Prato Gaio, Sasseo, Verde Sosta).
Also within walking distance is the Il Boscasso farm with its production of delicious goat cheeses.
