The agriturismo

Godenano di Mezzo is an ancient farmhouse with swimming pool located just minutes from the historic center of Castellina in Chianti, surrounded by vineyards, olive gro ves and oak woods.

The farmhouse, positioned on the ancient stone terraces that have surrounded the village for centuries, is located in the cradle of the Chianti Classico Senese, one of the most beautiful areas of the beautiful Tuscan countryside.

The surrounding countryside is the ideal place to enjoy nature, relax, go for walks and trekking on theancient Via Romea that runs through the property.

The accommodation

The building of medieval origin has been carefully restored respecting the original features of the past, creating a harmonious and comfortable environment, finely furnished with traditional Tuscan rural furniture.

The farmhouse consists of three independent apartments with private entrance, equipped kitchen, bedrooms, bathroom, outdoor courtyard, free wi.fi connection, satellite TV. A fourth apartment is in the planning stage.

The swimming pool, from which there is a wonderful view of the Val D'Elsa, is ideal for relaxing, swimming and sunbathing while admiring the hills of our Tuscany at the same time.

Positioned between Siena and Florence, Godenano di Mezzo is an excellent starting point for trips to the places of greatest tourist attraction and artistic - cultural interest in Tuscany, easily reachable through the various road and highway connections.
A short distance away are the historic centers of Florence, Siena, Monteriggioni, Colle Vald Elsa, San Gimignano, Volterra and Certaldo .

In the town of Castellina in Chianti just a 10-minute walk away, you will find everything you need to make your vacation complete, Shops, Supermarket, Bars, Pizzerias, Restaurants and Wine bars.

In addition, a short distance from Godenano di Mezzo you can admire some of the most renowned wineries in the area and internationally renowned, with the possibility of tasting their exclusive products.

Very good
Lovely setting, excellent accommodation and friendly host. Ideal location for Firenze, Siena and local villages.
Only downside was the annoying loud sound of local dogs barking for long periods - especially early in the morning. Read more

It was a pleasure to host this couple here with us, we did not see much of them as they spent their time out and about exploring the area. I can only apologise for the neighbors' hunting dogs for their barking. We had them put in a watering system years ago which sprays them with water when they bark and works well but unfortunately this had a fault at the time of their stay which has since been fixed. It worked all during the season and this was the first complaint for years. Had I known I would have had it resolved immediately. We would recommend this couple to further hosts.

This lovely family stayed with us in July. With the lawn directly outside of the apartment the children were able to play and they spent loads of time with our dog Otto and our cat Briseè. Between day trips and relaxing in our pool it is an ideal place to spend a family holiday.
