The agriturismo
Family-run agriturismo offering a warm welcome and a great desire to make guests’ stays as comfortable as possible. Located in the hills of Francavilla al Mare, a few minutes from the sea and 30 minutes from the Maiella and Gran Sasso.
The accommodation
The agriturismo, built with great attention to detail, is characterised by the presence of antique brick finishes, mosaics and columns. The accommodation is situated in a modern building with all amenities. Each room is named after a flower, and its colours and finishes reflect the flower it represents: rose, sunflower, primrose, iris and wisteria.
The food is typically Abruzzo-style, with authentic, homemade dishes such as ‘tagliatelle alla chitarra’ or ‘lasagne alla boscaiola’, as well as main courses (such as stuffed chicken roll with side dishes including vegetables from the farm’s garden, seasonal vegetables and the well-known, plump Francavilla tomatoes) or delicious cakes for tasty breakfasts or desserts, such as sponge cake with cream (a traditional Abruzzo cake).
Activities and surrounding
Francavilla al Mare is a famous city on the Abruzzo coast, which it overlooks with a long beach that heads northwards from the ancient original town centre, with the very long tree-lined Viale Alcione, through to the first houses in Pescara. To the south, on the other hand, the coast continues a few miles away with Ortona and S. Vito, more rugged and rocky, but even more fascinating for precisely this reason.
