The agriturismo
Agriturismo on the edge of the Gran Sasso National Park and the Laga in Abruzzo, in the hills, with stunning views of the mountains and very peaceful surroundings. The farm covers 25 hectares and grows olive trees, vineyards, fruit and vegetables organically.
The accommodation
The renovated farmhouse with solar energy systems and constructed wetlands has 12 double or twin rooms, all with air conditioning, internet (wi-fi) and large terraces with views.
The two-room units have been specifically designed for families. The ground floor, fully accessible to disabled guests, includes a dining room with a menu based on farm produce, a living room and spacious porches. Children’s play area and amateur bocce green.
Activities and surrounding
The most interesting excursions are to the Gran Sasso National Park and the Campo Imperatore plateau, the Lake Penne Regional Reserve run by the WWF and destinations of historical and cultural interest such as Montebello, Penne, Pescara and Loreto Aprutino with its fine collection of antique ceramics.
In the area, there are opportunities for sport climbing and hiking and there are local associations that interested visitors can contact. Mountain bike hire, sports centre with tennis courts and swimming pool 5 km away, the beaches of theAdriatic are less than an hour away.
