The agriturismo
This farmhouse, just a few hundred meters from the Alta Murgia National Park, is housed in an old hillside farmhouse; a long agricultural tradition has been handed down from generation to generation since the 1600s.
Cattle, pigs, sheep and goats are raised here, giving raw material for the farm's gastronomic and dairy products, which can be purchased. The farmhouse offers tastings.
On the approximately 70 hectares of land, cereals, olive trees, vegetables, orchards, legumes, vineyards and arable land are cultivated using organic farming methods.
The accommodation
This agriturismo is located at Cassano delle Murge, a 70-hectare estate that is entirely farmed.
Zootechnic activities, which allow the farmhouse to produce food specialties in total respect of organic farming systems, are joined with hospitality, thanks to two master bedrooms with bath, and a vast lot for camping.
Exteriors offer garden furniture for moments of relaxation for guests out in the open air.
The camping grounds are located on site and nestled in an oak forest.
The agriturismo also has a cheese factory, with a shop, and uses milk, obtained on site, to produce typical local dairy products.
Activities and surrounding
The agriturismo is located at Cassano delle Murge, near the Parco Nazionale dell'Alta Murgia, a place characterized by particular fauna and a protected natural environment.
The farmhouse, during pleasant weather, organizes nature weeks, where children and adolescents, accompanied by teachers or parents, learn about peasant life and horses, which are raised here. Mobile phones are discarded here, and visitors are encouraged to embrace the rural way of life, also by wearing clothes suited to this experience.
Thanks to our horse farming, guests may learn how to ride a horse, accompanied by a teacher.
Moreover, the farmhouse also organizes feasts and festivities on site.
