The agriturismo
Masseria Ciavea is the result of different building phases: the ground floor, characterized by rooms with barrel vault, made of stone, dates back to 1600, while the second floor was built in part at the beginning of 1800 and in part in 1883, as from the inscription on the rails of the main balcony. The name "Ciavea" is linked in part to an ancient variety of almonds, in fact in 1800 the company was cultivated with almonds.
Guests can enjoy B&B and half board treatment. The traditional cuisine uses farm products.
The accommodation
Carefully restored respecting the original architecture, it has six large lodgings all with private bathroom, heating, air conditioning. The farmhouse also offers its guests a dining room, an internet point, ample parking and video surveillance.
Masseria Ciavea is afarm where forages, vegetables, olives, almond and cherry trees are cultivated. We produce oil, almonds, cherries, various fruits, from which we make jams that you can enjoy at breakfast. Our guests can enjoy B&B and half board. The traditional cuisine uses farm products.
Activities and surrounding
In the farmhouse it is possible to organize or participate in educational activities about breeding and cultivation. Within a radius of one km you can find a wellness center, a sports center and the archaeological site "Monte Sannace".
Within 25 minutes by car you can visit: Putignano, the Castellana caves, the trulli of Alberobello, the Itria Valley, Polignano a mare, Monopoli, the Safari zoo and the Selva di Fasano, Bari, Taranto, the Natural Park of Alta Murgia, Altamura, Castel del Monte, Trani, and Matera with its splendid Sassi.
