The agriturismo
Tenuta del Grillaio is an early 20th-century farmhouse in the heart of Puglia on the slopes of the Bari Murgia.
The property produces oil, wine and most of the products that are offered in the restaurant.
The rooms are cozy and equipped with all comforts to spend days free from the daily grind.
The accommodation
The structure consists of 5 rooms (3 doubles and 2 quads), all built following the principles of green building. The roof is made of wood and the furnishings are typical of peasant farms of the last century.
Double room 1 can accommodate 2 adults. Double rooms 2 and 3, being composed of a double bed and a sofa bed, can comfortably accommodate 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.
The restaurant seats 50 and offers guests traditional Apulian recipes prepared with genuine local products sourced directly from the farm and farms in the surrounding area.
The courtyard is bright and opens onto a wonderful view of the hills in front.
Inside the farmhouse there is an oak forest where you can linger in the summer heat.
Activities and surrounding
The masseria is equidistant from Bari and Matera , so it is possible to easily visit these two cities and their territories.
About 3 km away are the Curtomartino caves, which it is posible to visit by appointment.
It is possible to take bike rides in the surrounding countryside or to reach the beaches of both the Adriatic and Jonian seas.
The facility is strategically located and well connected being about 8 km from the A14 highway exit.
