The agriturismo
This beautiful Salento farm, dating back to the 1700s and fully renovated, is a complex of “trulli” dwellings and typical pointed gable roofs known as “cummerse”, surrounded by age old olive trees and fields of crops at the heart of the Itria Valley, just a few km from stunning beaches and popular towns.
The farm cultivates cereals, vines, olives and fruit trees, and produces and sells cold pressed extra virgin olive oil, Primitivo wine, white wine, rosé and typical produce: figs and dried fruit, pecorino cheese, fresh ricotta, “ricotta forte”, olives in brine, pickles, fresh eggs, rabbit, free-range chicken, bread, “taralli” twisted breadsticks, “frise” wheat flour bagels and biscotti.

The accommodation
The trulli apartments ensure a wonderfully unique holiday experience for the agriturismo’s guests: built in natural stone, the dwellings have been renovated in keeping with the ancient traditions of the ancient trulli builders, and all feature bathrooms, kitchenettes, crockery, bed linen and towels, satellite TVs, DVD players, independent heating, mini bars, burglar alarms, hairdryers and outdoor space with tables, chairs and umbrellas.
La Quercia comprises one double bedroom and one triple bedroom, a bathroom with bath and shower, a terrace overlooking the swimming pool and a shaded area underneath a majestic oak tree.
Il Fico comprises a double bedroom with chair bed, a spacious lounge with open fireplace and double sofa bed, a bathroom with bath and shower and 2 outdoor areas with tables and chairs.
Il Fico d'India boasts a spacious terrace with views of the Itria Valley and the swimming pool. The apartment comprises one double and one single bedroom, a dining room and a private solarium.
Il Trullo comprises a double bedroom, kitchen with open fireplace, a chair bed and outdoor space.
Il Leccio and Il Pesco feature one double bedroom each and outdoor space with tables and chairs. Leccio also features two chair beds. Finally, Melograno is a trullo apartment for 2-6 people with two bedrooms.
Guests also have access to a beautiful swimming pool nestled among greenery, bicycles for excursions, and 1.5 hectares of oak wood and Mediterranean shrubland, with pathways, rest spots, play areas, benches and tables, perfect for walks, birdwatching and picnics.
Activities and surrounding
The agriturismo is the ideal base for exploring Apulia, just 22 km from the Adriatic Coast and from Capitolo, Savelletri, Torre Canne, Villanova and Rosa Marina. Guests can also visit Ceglie Messapica, Cisternino, Martina Franca, Ostuni, Locorotondo, Fasano, Alberobello and the Castellana Caves.

I have been managing Masseria Selvaggi since 1999 along with my parents.
As well as we welcome the guests, we are responsible for communication, we take care of the crops.
It was a desire to to keep the family business alive which led me to run an agriturismo.
Our guests especially like the warm family welcome.
