In Tavoliere delle Puglie plain, on an estate of 90 hectares organically cultivated withdurum wheat, olives and asparagus, the farmhouse is a typical rural nineteenth century building, once dedicated to raising sheep which were seasonally transferred along sheep tracks. Today, the buildings have been restored, offering relaxation to nature-loving guests, thanks to the liveable outdoor spaces, comfortable apartments, swimming pool, andpanoramic terrace complete with deck chairs and shady areas.
The accommodation
Guests are accommodated in 6 apartments. In the Casa del padrone, next to the swimming pool and with wood floors, is the owner’s residence plus 2 units for guests as follows: Ala ovest (west wing), with spacious double room (+ 2 single beds), bathroom and sitting-room/kitchen with double sofa-bed;Ala est (east wing) with a double room, small room with single bed, bathroom and sitting room-kitchen.
The Casa del pastore offers accommodation in building with cross vaulted ceiling (extra bed available), small kitchen, a double and a twin room, each with en-suite bathroom. The first floor of the central building, which dates back to the 1960s, is home to another 2 apartments — Casa del bracciante and Casa dell'operaio — with sitting-room/kitchen, a double room and bathroom.
The Casa del fattore, also from the 1960s, offers a sitting room, small kitchen, a double bedroom, a room with 2 single beds and a bathroom.
Activities and surrounding
Some characteristic areas of the farmhouse are home to cultural and artistic events connected to the flavours and appreciation of the products of the land. Guests may take part in farming activities or visit nature Sites of Community Importanceand the Gargano National Park.
The farmhouse stands south of the foot of the Gargano mountain, dominated by the wetlands of the Lake Salso nature reserve and the plains of the lower Tavoliere di Puglia as far as the sea and the area of Bari.
