Strada provinciale 266, 73040 Alliste (Lecce) Code LE07500451000019089
The masseria is in the territory of Alliste, 500 m from the sea and the Gallipoli-Santa Maria di Leuca road. It takes its name from an ancient cistern, used by shepherds, that collected water from the rains.
Today guests find a stay cheered by the breeze that passes through the foliage of the olive trees, a mild climate, and the panorama of the sea on the horizon.
The farm covers ten hectares planted mainly with olive trees with also myrtle, agave, prickly pear, caper and almond trees. The estate is bordered by typical dry stone walls and you can admire numerous trulli where shepherds and farmers once stayed.
Seven large rooms have been created in the masseria overlooking the sea and overlooking the garden where you can smell the scents of lavender, rosemary, thyme and laurel.
Eco-friendly materials were used for the renovation, native stone, wrought iron, wood for the roofs, and, for the interiors solid chestnut.
Energy is also provided by photovoltaic and solar panels.
Rooms have mini bar, air conditioning, flat-screen TV, wi-fi zone. Private parking.
All rooms have aprivate covered outdoor area where you can have breakfast with a stunning view of the Ionian Sea.
Nearby are a pharmaceutical dispensary, a small supermarket, and a pizza restaurant.
The numerous beaches are also within easy walking distance. The municipality of Alliste includes the marinas of Postorosso and Capilungo: the beaches are low and rocky but easily accessible even to families with children. You can go hiking or biking in the countryside of Alliste and Felline, among the centuries-old olive groves, tasting the oil in the olive presses. 20 km away is Gallipoli.
