The agriturismo
Surrounded by the unspoilt countryside of Salento, a few minutes from the historic center of Alessano, and 10km from the strip of S. Maria di Leuca, the Southest town in Eastern Italy, the farm holiday is the ideal place to spend your holiday with tranquility and relaxation.
Around the 40s here tobacco was dried, now the farm holiday will welcome you with a cozy fully restored dining room and a large outdoor area where you will enjoy an intimate and familiar flavor.
The accommodation
This agritourism is ideal for spending the a vacation of tranquility and relaxation. The cozy rooms, are furnished in style and adjacent to the structure surrounded by greenery.
The kitchen offers delicious traditional Salento dishes, recipes handed down from generation to generation.
The Agostinello family is composed of Franco and Anna, the true founders of the Agriturismo, and their two daughters Laura and Mariantonietta (Mietta). The farm is entirely family-run, so throughout your stay you will be welcomed as an integral part of the family.
Dinner, commitments permitting, will take place every evening together with the family, where Franco will be happy to tell you many interesting facts about the place, pointing out the most beautiful places, marinas and the most hidden rocky ravines known only to the locals. Anna will suggest tasty recipes of the local cuisine, while Laura and Mariantonietta, unprofessional waitresses, will serve with sympathy and politeness, typical of the Salento welcome.
The family has decided to undertake this activity without any hotel setting or "protocol": the essential ingredients are love for the land and its wonderful places, the pleasure and desire to let people taste the tasty typical dishes and love in running the Farm.
Activities and surrounding
The agritourism is strategically and centrally located, positioned just a few kilometers from beautiful and evocative historic centers such as those of Alessano, Lucugnano and Specchia, rich in history and small local craft workshops. Worth visiting are the workshops of the masters of hand-painted ceramics, and the various weaving workshops.
Mrs. Anna, the owner of the farm organizes real cooking classes in which she will be able to suggest ancient recipes of the Salento tradition; we will provide you with a calendar of the various "village festivals," events and festivals that will be organized especially in the summer season; Mr. Franco will suggest the marinas with the most picturesque coves.
The renowned and elegant S Maria di Leuca is just 10 km away, close as well are Torrevado, Pescoluse, "the Maldives of Salento" are about 12 Km, while the nearest sea is Marina Serra, Novaglie, Tricase Porto about 5 Km away.
And finally at the facility are organized dog education courses , dog sports and pet theraphy with a professional educator, this is to give animal lovers the opportunity to spend a vacation with their four-legged friends.
