The agriturismo

La Torretta Baronale is an exclusive Country Relais with panoramic swimming pool, ideal for those seeking tranquility in a characteristic structure.

The renovated old watchtower is part of a large farm owned for centuries by the same family. Later used as a masseria, it still retains the striking dovecote at its summit.

The farm produces wheat, peanuts, alfalfa and oil. The farm also has an organic vegetable garden, producing zero-mile vegetables.

The accommodation

The farmhouse provides five rooms located on the 1st floor: three double rooms, one of which has a fireplace, a triple room and a quadruple room.

Furnished with care by the owner, they have modernly equipped private bathrooms.

On the ground floor is the reception, where guests are warmly welcomed on arrival; the large, modern kitchen, where the cook prepares hearty and delicious meals; and, finally, the dining room , created from the renovation of the old stable, of which characteristic elements such as the mangers and the lamp, itself made from an ancient yoke, are still preserved.

The thick walls with exposed stones make it possible to dine al fresco, while those who wish can take a break outdoors on the furnished terrace.

By reservation, the agriturismo is also available on weekdays as a location for private events, with customized menus agreed upon directly with the client.

The panoramic swimming pool is open during the summer, from June 1 until September 30.

Activities and surrounding

The hills of the Benevento area offer beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and are ideal for hunting, bird-watching and trekking activities.

The small town of Apice Vecchio, with its medieval-looking alleys and imposing baronial castle, abandoned by the population in 1981 following the earthquake that struck Irpinia, is also worth a visit, as is the charming Santuario di Sant'Antonio, from which there is a magnificent panorama.

Pietrelcina, birthplace of St. Pio, can be reached in half an hour by car (24 km).

In Mercogliano, near Avellino, you can visit the Abbey of Montevergine, classified as a national monument.
