The agriturismo

Born from owners’ deep-rooted passion for nature and for horses, the agriturismo, located in the green hills outside Fidenza, is a quiet corner where you can enjoy absolute tranquillity, experiencing country life and all its flavours, strolling through green meadows in the shade of the woodland, losing track of time.

The accommodation

The estate, recently established to breed horses, spreads over 20 hectares among meadows and woodland, and offers accommodation in a renovated former hayloft, where you’ll find a restaurant serving generous and wholesome breakfasts, 5 guest rooms and a two-room apartment.

 

The double and twin rooms all include private bathrooms. Two rooms can also be adjoined via a door. Some rooms can accommodate a third bed. On the ground floor, the two-room apartment (suitable for disabled guests) features a double bedroom, a lounge with double sofa bed, a kitchen area and a bathroom.

The guest accommodation also features a host of home comforts,  from air conditioning to TVs and free Wi-Fi.

 

At the riding centre guests can enjoy lessons in Western and English riding styles, as well as horseback excursions, carriage rides and multi-day trekking with stables also available for guests to bring their own horses. Customised packages are available for agriturismo guests.

Activities and surrounding

The farm is located in the outer hills of Fidenza, in a magical spot along the Via Francigena, at the centre of what was once the Duchy of Parma and Piacenza, a region rich in castles and ancient hamlets, just a stone’s throw from one of Italy’s most famous shopping centres at the heart of the “Food Valley”.

Just a few km away you’ll find the famous Tabiano spa centre and the Salsomaggiore wellbeing centre.

Guests can also enjoy guided tours of dairies which produce Parmigiano Reggiano.

Located in the heart of the Parma hills with new and well maintained structures, unfortunately the pool is not accessible to guests. Air-conditioned, clean and very welcoming accommodation. Very good breakfast served on a nice terrace.

I have been managing Il Colle del Falco since 2015 with my husband.

As well as we welcome the guests, we take care of the crops, we rear the animals.

It was a desire to to pursue a passion which led me to run an agriturismo.
