The agriturismo

The farm is situated at the foot of the Monte Rosso hills, opposite the fortified village of Castell’Arquato amidst the Arquato badlands, rolling hills of vineyards and oak woods with beautiful views and easy access.

The accommodation

The renovation of the 19th century Locanda Illica, originally built to house livestock, has created triple and quad rooms that combine the needs of comfort with respect for the original structure.

 

In the main building, Palazzo Illica, the original rooms belonging to the owner family have been converted into double and triple rooms decorated according to the tastes of various periods, with private bathroom.

All the rooms are spacious and feature windows overlooking the Italian-style garden. The beautiful olive wood and walnut parquet floor creates a unique, sought-after atmosphere.

Activities and surrounding

The old lounge, divided by brick and sandstone arches, furnished stylishly and elegantly, is now used as a dining room, while the library has a wide literary and artistic range and also features Italian and foreign language courses.

An ‘Old England’ conference room is available for conventions and training courses and can seat 90, while there is also a seminar room for 20 people, a computer room with 5 seats and a massage area.

The centre also offers a wellness area in the old vaults room, a stables with guided walks in the woods and a fitness trail up to the ridge of Monte Rosso with a breathtaking view over Castell’Arquato.
