The agriturismo
Casa Manzocco has stood in the heart of Cormòns since the late nineteenth century :originally a simple country house at the foot of Mount Quarin, surrounded by luxuriant Collio vineyards.
The family residence occupies the centre of the building, while the right wing is home to wine cellar and the left, an accommodation facility renamed "Al Benandant" as a tribute to the Friuli folklore tradition.
The accommodation
Guest accommodation is marked by the elegance of an Austro-Hungarian feel combined with Friuli tradition: Marbles, fine furnishings and damask fabrics hark back to old country residences.
On the ground floor of the agriturismo is the reception with reading/lounge area and a small library, mobile bar exclusively for guests and a bright, spacious breakfast room with windows facing the garden. The facility includes a bedroom equipped for the disabled.
On the first floor are three elegant double bedrooms, completely furnished with period pieces selected and restored by the owner; each room has air conditioning and bathroom with spacious shower.
On the second, attic floor, in addition to a triple room, there is also a mini-apartment available, suitable for families and longer stays.
Activities and surrounding
The agriturismo is easy to reach and is situated in a strategic area of Friuli, for a holiday marked by country life and fine wine, not to mention the sea or the mountains, just a few kilometres away.
Must-visits include the archaeological sites of Aquileia or historically important cities such as Trieste.
