The agriturismo
La Faula is an organic farm with three hectares of vineyards. The grapes are transformed into prestigious wines in the winery of the farmhouse which dates back to the early 1900’s. The produce of the farm is served to the guests which stay in the elegant and comfortable rooms of the farm-stay furnished with its original antique furniture.
In the morning, under the shade of the old pergola, the guests can enjoy a rich breakfast consisting of home-made jams and marmalade, home-made bread, yogurt, croissants and boiled eggs just picked up in the chicken pen. The rest of the day can be spent walking in the surrounding woodlands, around the swimming pool, playing golf or with the Border Collies or taking trips to the near-by historical towns or the bordering Slovenia and Carinthia.
The accommodation
The agriturismo is made up of 7 double/triple rooms with bathroom, 2 multiple units with bathroom, 2 bungalows with bathroom and kitchen. We accept ATMs and all credit cards except DC and Amex. One housing unit is equipped for the disabled.
There is an outdoor car park in a private area, a reading room, a meeting room, a swimming pool and a golf course. Animals are not allowed. The restaurant is reserved only for guests who sleep on the farm.
Activities and surrounding
In the immediiate surroundings of La Faula, there are a number of walks in the midlle of woodlands or along the river bank. Some of these lead to the nearby remains of the medieval castles of Attimis and Partistagno. The historical towns of Udine and Cividale are located 13 km away from La Faula, the Roman towns of Aquileia and Grado 40 km away and the sea port of Trieste 45 km away. Slovenia, Carinthia and the Julian Alps can be reached by car within 20 minutues and half an hour from La Faula. For those who do not want to travel, La Faula offers plenty of relaxing opportuinities by the swimming pool or on the golf course.
