The agriturismo
The farmhouse is located on the beautiful Pontine Coast, a short walk from Lake Fondi at the foot of the Aurunci Mountains chain. The Valerio farmhouse, immersed in greenery and surrounded by centuries-old palm trees, offers accommodation in rooms. Typical Mediterranean dishes are served in the restaurant.
The accommodation
The farm "Paradise of Barchi" was founded as a farm, nursery. Decades of experience in the nursery business and in the design and maintenance of gardens has enabled the owner to create a scenic and evocative "paradise", full of palm trees and centuries-old olive trees, flowering bushes and patches of colors, traversed by a gurgling stream that flows into beautiful bathing ponds, overlooked by the "Casale Valerio," an ancient structure rich in rural history, expertly restored using original materials, such as to make it an ideal location for prestigious events and receptions.
Activities and surrounding
Located on the outskirts of Terracina, a few steps from the Pontine coastline and with a splendid view of Lake Fondi, Paradiso dei Barchi enjoys a privileged and intimate location. There are numerous and important archaeological sites in this area, characterized by its mild climate all year round.
In the summer season, as well as in spring and autumn, it is possible to reach the sandy beaches (several kilometers of coastline) located one kilometer from the facility.
By car, in just over a quarter of an hour the following centers can be reached: Terracina and the Temple of Jupiter; Sperlonga and the Grotto of Tiberius (museum); Fondi, the cathedral with armchair of Antipope Clement VII, the Jewish quarter, the ancient Corso Appio Claudio; the splendid Pontine islands, reachable with an hour's boat ride from Terracina; and the abbey of Fossanova in Cistercian Gothic architecture.
