The agriturismo
Ancient building recently restored, the farmhouse is situated in the splendid Valley of Farfa River near the Farfa Abbey. A unique opportunity of relaxing far from the noise and daily concerns.
The accommodation
The farmhouse is situated at 350 m above sea level and covers about 17 hectares of Sabinian hill country. It has four rooms with bathrooms, a swimming pool and tennis court.
The farmhouse is surrounded by grasslands, olive groves and tranquillity. On parts of farmland they grow wine, fruit and grain, other parts they use as pasture land for animals. They have a small flock of sheep, as well as hogs and chooks. As pets they keep a horse and family of donkeys and some cats and a very friendly dog.
Activities and surrounding
Besides relaxing at swimming pool, sport enthusiastic can spend time playing tennis on our own court. There is also a golf-course nearby as well as the possibility to go mountain biking, horseback riding, fishing or trekking on any hiking trails with different levels of difficulty.
History-lovers will enjoy a trip to Tivoli with the Hadrians Villa or the papal residence Villa d'Este and of course to Rome which is also easily reached by car. Besides these well-known sights there are many local attractions like medieval villages, the Olive-Oil Museum and, of course, the Abbey of Farfa with its beautiful frescos and impressive architecture. For those who want to spend more time enjoying the nature and countryside of the Sabina region we would recommend taking a trip to the WWF-Oasis of the Tiber River or to visit the famed "Falls of Marmore".
