The agriturismo

2 km from Acquapendente, in the Alta Tuscia Laziale, on the border with Tuscany and Umbria, the agriturismo comprises a XIX century country house, with rooms overlooking the garden, an outdoor swimming pool, Wi-Fi, a restaurant and parking.

The farm grows grapes, apples and blackcurrants, but its most important product is organically grown apple juice.

The accommodation

The rooms (single, twin, triple and quadruple with sofa beds) feature private entrances, rustic furniture, desks, private bathrooms with whirlpool showers, courtesy sets and hairdryers, kettles, air conditioning and mosquito nets.  

 

The restaurant serves a different menu every day, prepared using the farm’s own and other zero mile produce. Guests can enjoy homemade bread, fresh and mature cheeses, cold cuts of all kinds, truffles, pumpkin, pancetta, seasonal vegetables, chocolate filled sweet treats and delicious “semifreddi” desserts.

Activities and surrounding

The farmhouse is nestled in a peaceful oasis, just 1.2 km from the historic centre of Acquapendente. The surrounding area offers a wide range of leisure activities, from excursions to visit nearby hamlets (Civita di Bagnoregio, Orvieto, Pitigliano, Sorana, etc.), to villas and palazzos from the 1500s, and archaeological sites. You can also enjoy a pleasant stroll around Lake Bolsena, or through the Monti Cimini woodland, taste typical produce, visit the local riding centre (8 km) or hire bikes (4 km).

The agriturismo works in partnership with the nearby San Casciano dei Bagni spa centre (15 minutes by car), with the possibility of discounts for guests (10-15% off all spa facilities).

I stayed at this farm two gironi and I had a great time, excellent dinner with genuine products and zero kilometer,
