The agriturismo
This organic agriturismo, just a stone’s throw from Rome, is part of a 17 hectare estate at the heart of the Tiber Valley, filled with olive trees, fruit trees, fields and woodland.
The bio-pool overlooks spectacular scenery. Cookery classes are available on request, in the agriturismo’s state of the art workshop, as well as tasting of wine, oil, honey and cheese.
The accommodation
The organic agriturismo comprises several buildings.
The main house, fully renovated in 2013, includes a hall, a large lounge, kitchen and bathroom on the ground floor, and 3 spacious bedrooms with private bathrooms and an additional lounge on the first floor. A staircase leads to the tower, a former dovecote from which you can enjoy a unique 360° view of the Tiber Valley.
Il Casaletto is an independent villa with lounge-kitchen, two double bedrooms, bathroom, a utility space with washing machine, a veranda for outdoor dining and a garden.
The Chalet, built entirely from wood, comprises a kitchen, utility space, lounge, two bedrooms, portico and a garden.
For group dining, you can make use of the large outdoor kitchen, equipped with two barbecues, a wood burning oven and a 16-seater table under a pergola. You can also enjoy bocce, next to the old fountain.
Activities and surrounding
The bio-pool, created with total respect for the surrounding ecosystem, without the use of cement and using a natural salt purification system, offers beautiful views stretching from the Cimini Mountains to Viterbo, Lake Alviano and Monte Soratte.
The woodland at the foot of the hill is a wonderful place to spot local fauna, from foxes to hedgehogs and badgers.
The local area has much to offer: for history and culture you can visit towns and cities such as Civita di Bagnoregio, Viterbo, Orvieto, Bomarzo and Tuscania; or if you prefer to surround yourself in nature, take a trip to the Alviano Oasis, Lakes Vico and Bolsena, the Etruscan pyramid of Bomarzo, or the Cimini Mountains.
