Agriturismo Le Ginestre di Capodimonte

This holiday farm is located on the hills only a few kilometres from Capodimonte. It faces Monte Bisenzio and the valley below, which gently slopes towards the Lake Bolsena basin. This area is rich in Etruscan finds. From the farm one can admire the beauty of the Lake, its two islands and the little village of Capodimonte. The latter is set on a volcanic crag extending into Lake Bolsena, and is considered "pearl of the Lake" for its beauty. Our guests will receive a warm welcome and enjoy a pleasant stay.

The property is carefully built within an olive grove, with six apartments and eight finely furnished bedrooms. A large common room is available to guests, from which you can access the dining room where you can taste genuine foods typical of the area. Meals are served at 1 p.m. and 8 p.m., in fixed menuformula (NO VARIATIONS ARE MADE FOR ANY REASON) First, Second, Sidedish.

Lake Bolsena is the largest European lake of volcanic origin. You can admire and visit its two beautiful islands Bisentina and Martana.
Capodimonte is a charmingly set on a peninsula and dominated by the grand Farnese Castle. From this village you can visit the two islands.
Viterbo, for visitors Via San Pellegrino and the medieval quarter are a must. The Papal palace is the most important site. The city council has a lovely garden overlooking Viterbo, with a beautiful view of the Trinity Church.
Bagnaia, visitors to Tuscia should stop in Bagnaia and admire Villa Lante. The villa was built just outside the walls of this medieval suburb. The first information of the Castrum date back to 963a.C.. At that time the town was called Bangaria, possibly a longobard name, which gradually evolved into Balnearia, Bagnaja and finally Bagnaia. Within the town walls alleys, medieval and Renaissance buildings and remains of Saracenic art, still emanate an ancient atmosphere.
Caprarola, villa Farnese of superb beauty is a masterpiece of the 5th century Italian architecture. Commenced by the Sangallo it was completed by the Vignola, both famous architects.
Tuscania, profiled by medieval towers and bell-towers it welcomes visitors with two of Lazio's most beautiful Romanesque churches: San Pietro and Santa Maria Maggiore.
Tarquinia, the splendid Vitelleschi palace with its harmonious courtyard with double arches and arcades houses the National Museum of Tarquinia.
Montefiascone, this territory has been inhabited since ancient times. The Etruscans considered this area sacred, home of the legendary "Fanum Voltumnae", political and religious see where the "Lucumos" gathered. To visit: the Rocca dei Papi, Santa Margherita's Cathedral and San Flaviano's Gothic-Romanesque Basilica.

Civita di Bagnoregio, called the dying city, a peerless example of beauty. This little village is linked to the rest of the world only by way of a tiny bridge. It has been known for a along time as "the city that dies". The name derives form its land-slipping tuff walls. It houses a few medieval homes and a population of only a few families. Gently resting on a summit the little town imperiously dominates the huge valley below, offering an enchanting and unforgettable view.
Parco dei mostri (park of the monsters): its origins are remote, but the most interesting and beautiful things one can see were ordered by Vicino Orsini, born in this land in 1523. He was a romantic man and a brave leader at the services of the Papal States. Once back from the wars, he had a series of fanciful and grotesque sculptures placed in a wonderful park in the valley below the castle. Hence the name "Parco dei Mostri".

Orvieto, the origins of the town date back to the Etruscan civilization. The first inhabitants, of the 9th century, settled in the tuff caves dug in the rock where the town is perched today. The world famous 13th century Cathedral (1263), with its beautiful façade and richly decorated chapels is undoubtedly the most important site. In the historical centre is Saint Patrick's Well "Pozzo di San Patrizio" built in 1527 and designed by Antonio da Sangallo il Giovane.
