The agriturismo
Family-run since 1975, this farm of over 250 hectares on the border with the Natural Reserve of Monte Rufeno, consists of 5 farmhouses, surrounded by oak and chestnut woods and agricultural land producing extra virgin olive oil, honey and wine.
The accommodation
Three delightful, stylish apartments, well heated in winter and comfortable in summer. Each apartment has a fireplace and wood for free use. The two apartments on the ground floor have a double bedroom, a living room kitchen, a bathroom and a private outdoor space. The upstairs apartment has two double bedrooms, a bathroom, a living kitchen. There is a barbecue and tables for outdoor dining.
Activities and surrounding
It is possible to take part in guided excursions on horseback, both within the company grounds and in the Monte Rufeno Nature Reserve. The excursions must be booked (minimum 5 participants). The whole day includes a packed lunch. Short walks and riding lessons are available in the village of Acquapendente.
Through the territory of the company, extended along the border of the Natural Reserve of Monte Rufeno, pass the hiking trails that lead into the protected areas. From time to time we organize guided hikes in the woods of the farm.
The nearest thermal baths are in San Casciano Bagni. The agriturismo has entered into an agreement with the Fonteverde Spa. In winter, 50 km away is the ski resort of Monte Amiata. For lovers of historical tourism, the medieval villages of Acquapendente, Torre Alfina and Proceno are in the immediate vicinity. The famous Via Francigena also passes through these places.
