Overlooking the sea and framed by the splendid Etruscan hills of Tarquinia with its wealth of culture and history, Podere del Gesso is located in a countryside of unspoilt natural beauty. The farm offers a harmonious setting combining the old with modern conveniences for its visitors who appreciate nature, art and sport.
The accommodation
The farm Gesso belongs to a farm of 60 hectares, next to the sea and 10km away from Tarquinia.
A long gravel road planted with trees leads to a private pinewood, a particularly pleasant track to enjoy also by foot and by bike. The nature is well preserved and the sea is surrounded by sandy dunes.
Inside the old farmhouse ten new apartments have been created, different in size, all of which include kitchen, dining-room, bedroom and bathroom, all with independent air conditioning/ heating.
300 metres away from Podere Giulio, the guests can also enjoy common areas such as the porches, a firewood oven, a washing-machine, a fountain and the organic garden of the farm.
Activities and surrounding
The farm is located in southern Etruria, in the central region of Lazio, beautifully placed on a plateau overlooking the sea.
The most interesting features of the area are the many towers, the Romanesque churches, palaces and monuments and museums such as the National Etruscan Museum, considered amongst the most important in Italy.
Tarquinia is part of the Maremma region, rich in unspoilt landscapes and ideal for a holiday surrounded by nature.
