The agriturismo

A short distance from Civita di Bagnoregio, Orvieto and Lake Bolsena, this organic, holistic agriturismo stands in the green Calanchi hills and offers a wealth of facilities and activities to ensure an enjoyable and interesting stay.

 

You'll find a restaurant with traditional wood burning hearth, specialising in vegetarian cuisine and a multi-purpose space for classes and events.

The accommodation

Each apartment features a lounge with kitchenette, a mezzanine level bedroom and a bathroom, along with air conditioning, heating and satellite TV (2 apartments also include whirlpool baths), as well as a private gazebo with tables and chairs.

 

The restaurant, with its traditional wood burning hearth, specialises in vegetarian cuisine, prepared using predominantly organic ingredients from the farm itself or other local producers, accompanied by the farm's own wine and oil. The agriturismo has a small shop selling farm produce (Vigna del Prete wine, Valle dei Calanchi oil and a selection of typical items). The complex also boasts a vegetarian cookery school, available to guests and organised groups.

 

A 50 square metre multi-purpose space is available for classes and events: seminars, workshops, classes, yoga, meditation, voice therapy, Thai-Chi, synergic horticulture and permaculture.

The huge swimming pool is surrounded by nature, the ideal location for musical evenings, tasting sessions and romantic dinners.

The grounds with their native vegetation (brooms and elm woods) and aromatic plants (lavender, rosemary, sage, lemon balm, mint and thyme) are the ideal place to enjoy the unforgettable scenic views. The synergic vegetable garden was created both for the dietary wellbeing of the agriturismo’s guests and for teaching/educational purposes.

There is also a grand piano, for musical evenings.

Activities and surrounding

The agriturismo offers a wealth of relaxation and leisure facilities: as well as lounging and enjoying massages by the pool, guests can taste local produce and enjoy walks through the grounds to collect wild herbs. You can picnic on the lawn amongst the olive trees (also perfect for weddings and romantic dates, with special baskets available), play ping pong, work in the vegetable garden and explore the surrounding area, perfect for trekking, jogging and birdwatching.
