Casa del Borgo is a typical Ligurian house dating back to the end of the 1800s, in the historic centre of Borgata Castello, the medieval nucleus of the commune of Chiusanico. Fully renovated with attention to detail and to the recycling of the original materials, the agriturismo offers 3 apartments spread over several levels and comprising bedrooms, lounge with kitchenettes, private bathrooms and scenic terraces with tables and chairs. On the ground floor, you’ll find an entrance hall and spacious communal lounge.
Rustico Panoramico Vinsa, to the south of Borgata Castello, overlooks the valley to the sea and the city of Imperia. It enjoys one of the most scenic locations on Liguria’s Riviera di Ponente, with views stretching from the mountains to the sea. The local stone building, once used to dry fruit and vegetables on the typical twisted branches (known as “vinsa” in the local dialect), comprises 2 one-room apartments, each with kitchenette and bathroom plus a large communal 250 square meter garden overlooking the sea with BBQ, loungers and sun beds.
Casa degli Orti is a renovated house dating back to the late 1800s, just 600 metres from the hamlet, nestled in characteristic Ligurian “fasce” (terraced landscape with dry stone walls). It contains 2 apartments with lounge, kitchenettes and private bathrooms. There is also a shared garden spanning over 2000 m2 with BBQ, play area and relaxation area with loungers and sunbeds. A few metres from the apartments you’ll find a large communal lounge with open fireplace.
The hamlet is ideally located for excursions on foot or by bicycle -the Ponente Ligure Coastal Park cycle trail and footpath is one of the longest in the Mediterranean, or you can enjoy wonderful walks direct from the hamlet of Castello di Chiusanico, taking in the beautiful views. You’ll find a host of educational farms, restaurants and osterias nearby. A car is recommended for getting about.
