The agriturismo

In a privileged place for natural resources, archaeological and cultural, the Azienda Agricola Monteverde lies on a hill of about 7 acres at the foot of Castelnuovo Magra in the province of La Spezia. The unique sea of Cinque Terre, the green of Versilia and the Park of Apuan Alps, framed by the company that is located 6 km from the coast. Vineyards, olive groves and fruit trees are cultivated with passion and professionalism. The farmhouse produces: jams, vegetables, organic eggs. Direct sales of Colli di Luni DOC wines and extra virgin olive oil.

The accommodation

The farmhouse is situated in two old Ligurian farmhouses recovered in respect of the local architectural tradition. Guests have spacious interiors and exteriors, all apartments are equipped with bathroom, heating, air conditioning and a garden level, excluding apartments Edera, Iris and Ginestra on the first floor.
Pricing of apartments includes: weekly cleaning, bed linen and towels, heating, air conditioning, farm tours, parking, barbecue, swimming pool and gym (with Technogym equipment). There is no service catering. On request: lessons water aerobics, fitness with a personal trainer, shiatsu massage, daily cleaning, babysitting and laundry.

Activities and surrounding

Activities on the farm: trails for hiking, ping pong, pool overview (6 x 16 mt) – a qualified teacher takes swimming lessons (individual and collective request) – harvesting olives, olive oil mills in the area and visit to winery famous for Colli di Luni DOC. At 1000 mt Enoteca Post in Liguria, in the old town of Castelnuovo Magra. At guests is also offered a fitness trail and a path in the “green”. Bank, pharmacy and basic necessities are in the immediate vicinity. Suggested activities: Walking in the Park of Cinque Terre and the Apuan Montemarcello; Canoeing and fishing on the rivers Magra and Vara; Rental of sailboats and motorboats; Nature trails, cultural, gastronomic and archaeological. Moreover: tennis, horseback riding, mountain-bikes, swimming, sailing school, diving school, deep sea fishing, golf at 20 minutes (Lerici, Forte dei Marmi).


The farmhouse is situated 6 km from the sea. From 20 minutes to an hour can be reached: Cinque Terre (Riomaggiore, Manarola, Vernazza, Corniglia, Monterosso), the marble quarries of Carrara, Fosdinovo, Castelnuovo Magra, Ortonovo, Nicola, archaeological excavations of Luni, Lerici, Tellaro, Fiascherino, Bocca di Magra, Portovenere, Forte dei Marmi, Torre del Lago Puccini, Castles of Lunigiana, Viareggio. Approximately 1 hour: Lucca and Pisa. Little over an hour: Florence, Genoa and Parma.

Dear Guests we thank you for choosing Agriturismo Monteverde. We know you can understand that is not possibile to put in 17 apartments salt, sugar, oil and other things because, after covid situation, we cannot leave in the apartments food or similar used by other guests and it is impossible and expensive to change every stay. About kitchen towel in every apartment there is at least one, maybe the housekeeper forgot to put it in Ginestra, but it was necessary just to tell us immediatly, we have many of them.

The reception was super friendly. Our apartment Pergolo was very cozy and great location. The property is huge and well maintained. Unfortunately, the kitchen was missing a kettle and dishwasher detergent.
