The agriturismo
The farm, set in the countryside but close to the center of Mantua, has been run by the same family for decades. The farmhouse probably dates from the 18th century: renovations in 2009 introduced country-chic furnishings and installed a photovoltaic system and solar panels; more rooms and the dining room were added in 2012.
We provide overnight accommodations with buffet breakfast based on homemade products and products from local farms.
The accommodation
Rooms have underfloor heating and cooling, private access, LCD TV, bathroom with shower, hair dryer, and courtesy set.
Special attention is given to babies and families who will find free changing table, high chair and play area. A crib is available with an extra charge of € 5.
Cattle are raised, but many animals (dogs, cats, chickens, pheasants, turtle doves) cheer the stay of children who can also have fun in the garden.
Activities and surrounding
The first destination to see is certainly Mantua: it is possible to book guided tours of the Ducal Palace, Palazzo Te, Piazza Sordello, the cathedral, Palazzo Bonacolsi, etc. Sabbioneta is 30 km away. Information is available regarding boat trips on the Mincio River and Mantua lakes.
Within a half-hour drive are Verona, Lake Garda, and the parks (Gardaland, Sea Life, Sigurtà Park, Movieland, CanevaWorld, Natura Viva Park). Shopping enthusiasts can go to the Mantua Fashion District, a city-outlet with more than 100 stores.
