The agriturismo
This family-run farm was established in woodlands of Valcuvia 38 years ago, a holiday destination to stay in a tranquil oasis surrounded by springs and nature. Its main activity is freshwater fish breeding in addition to producing fine quality fruit and vegetable jams and preserves.
The accommodation
With its views over the lake, the terrace is great for watching little ringed plover, falcon, woodpeckers, magpies, heron in their natural habitat and to spend your time in peach and quiet, reading a book or sunbathing.
The facility provides B&B, half-board, full-board in six very comfortable rooms.
In its two dining rooms – one with a fireplace and the other set up for ceremonies and business meals – the restaurant offers its own and other locally grown and made products by reservation, all excellent quality, with scrumptious mixed hors d’oeuvres, homemade pasta and tempting sweets.
Green area for barbecues by reservation and for a charge.
Activities and surrounding
It has four ponds for different kinds of fishing: spinning, fly, jigging and carp angling. Children can also get to know more about this sport with a bit of help from the staff. Nearby are golf courses, mini-golf facilities, tennis court, cycling and walking tracks, outdoor swimming pools and paragliding, as well as a military simulation centre. Along Lake Maggiore it is possible to visit Laveno with golf, the cable car of Sasso del Ferro, the hermitage of Santa Caterina del Sasso, the Campo dei Fiori nature reserve, Arcumeggia, the painters’ town, the Native Americans’ museum.
