Morrovalle (Macerata) Code 043033-AGR-00003
An agriturismo 15 minutes from the sea at the Adriatic Coast, ideally located for those who love art, beautiful countryside or history, seaside destinations, religious sites or nature, or for those who simply want to shop for fine footwear and leather goods.
The farmhouse dates back to 1959, renovated in 2012 with a focus on recycling and energy saving: a highly energy-intensive building transformed into a new complex that produces most of the energy it needs on site.
The agriturismo is family-run, the ideal place to relax and enjoy fine wine and delicious food, with vegetarian options available.
Guest accommodation is provided in four comfortable rooms, one of which is accessible to disabled guests, and you'll also find a restaurant to seat 25, furnished with early twentieth-century pieces.
There’s a garden, a small swimming pool (600x300xh140 cm) and two stunning scenic terraces with views stretching from the Adriatic Sea to the Gran Sasso Laga mountains and the peaks of the Sibillini National Park.
The agriturismo also offers private parking and free Wi-Fi, on a farm growing vegetables, fruit trees and olives for the production of extra virgin olive oil, as well as producing delicious cured meats.
For breakfast you can enjoybread, yoghurt, sweet treats and homemade jams, as well as tea, coffee, hot chocolate and organic Fair Trade sugar. Continental breakfasts are available on request, of homemade cured meats, eggs and organic cheeses.
In the restaurant, guests can enjoy typical dishes with a modern touch, prepared using the farm’s own and other local ingredients.
You’ll also find a selection of vegetarian options, with vegan choices also available on request.
The agriturismo is the perfect place to relax and discover good food.
Ponterosa has been recognised for 10 years in the best Italian culinary guides, including Slow Food, Gambero Rosso, L'Espresso and Mangiarozzo.
In the last two years, 2016-2017, it has received the “La Chiocciola” award, the highest recognition from the Osterie d'Italia Slow Food Guide. A symbol which identifies those restaurants that best incorporates the “good, clean and fair” philosophy.
Cookery classes are available for children and adults on request. You can enjoy guided tours of local towns with official tour guides, and excursions of various levels, again with certified guides.
The agriturismo is in the commune of Morrovalle, at the heart of a vast footwear production and retail zone, with a host of outlets available.
The farm’s central location makes it the ideal base for visiting wonderful local towns and cities, such as Fermo, Tolentino, Loreto, Recanati, Osimo, Macerata, San Ginesio, the Chiaravalle Abbey in Fiastra, Sarnano, Loro Piceno, Montelupone, Sant'Elpidio a Mare and the Conero Riviera (Numana, Sirolo, Portonovo and the Due Sorelle).
A trip to the sea at Civitanova Marche, Porto Recanati, Porto Sant'Elpidio and Porto San Giorgio comes highly recommended too.
Inform the agriturismo of any animals at the time of booking.
Owners will be held responsible for damage to property and persons.
