The agriturismo
The agriturismo is a traditional late eighteenth-century farmhouse situated in one of the greenest areas of the Marche, 25 km from the Adriatic Sea and close to artistic and cultural places such as the medieval Urbino. It is part of a farm where vines, cereals, beets, fodder and poultry are grown. The farmhouse has been converted into 4 independent apartments thanks to a restoration that respects the traditional forms and materials. The agriturismo is criss-crossed by two different trekking routes, ideal for enjoying a pleasant stroll: the Trekking dei Fuochi is 300 km long, and winds among churches, monuments, fortresses and castles, passing through towns and communes such as Cantiano, Frontone, Orciano, Montefelcino, Isola del Piano, Fossombrone, Acqualagna and Cagli; the Trekking Metauro (a looped route which can be covered on foot, by car, on horseback or by bike) starts in the Mountain Community of the same name, and passes through Fossombrone, along the Via Flaminia and through Mondavio, as well as nature areas such as the Cesane, the Paganuccio Mountains and Pitralata. The region is rich in greenery, home to mountains such as Monte Nerone, Monte Catria and Monte Petrano, as well as rivers such as the Metauro, Cesano, Biscubio, Candigliano and Burano.
