The agriturismo
In unspoilt nature, a farmhouse from the 1600s, renovated using green building techniques, with respect for the original structure, on an organic farm near to the beautiful old commune of Mercatello sul Metauro.
The accommodation
The farmhouse is made up of 3 cosy apartments: Terra and Sole, each with a double bedroom, bathroom, dining area, fully equipped kitchen and open fireplace, and the Suite, with scenic views of the hills, open fireplace, sofa, whirlpool shower, double four poster bed and an entrance forged from the reconstruction of an old bridge.
There is a two-room restaurant, created from the renovation of the old wine vault. The dishes served are all prepared entirely by hand, using organic farm produce, in line with local rural tradition.
The outdoor space is framed by age-old oak trees, and includes a small swimming pool and terrace, a bocce course and an archery range.
Activities and surrounding
Farm tours are also available on request. Guests can also purchase organic produce, get involved in a range of agricultural activities and book horseback excursions with instructors along the beautiful pathways of the Upper Metauro Valley.
Lovers of wellbeing treatments will enjoy trying out the Ki-An Holistic Therapy, while for sports fans there's fishing on Lake Aiolina, trekking, mountain biking and a 9 hole golf course at Borgo Pace.
As well as the better known cities of Urbino, Gubbio, Fano and Arezzo, the agriturismo also offers easy access to the monasteries, sanctuaries, museums and castles of Frontone, Cagli, Sassocorvaro, Gradara, San Leo, Mondavio, Barchi and Castello della Pieve.
