Via De Pianca, 24, 14030 Azzano d'Asti (Asti) Code 005006-AGR-00002
5 km from Asti, in open countryside, among woodland and hills, at the crossroads between pathways which were once trodden by travellers, the agriturismo is located in a peaceful spot between the Langhe and Montferrat, at the heart of Piedmont, and offers cosy rooms and high quality typical cuisine.
The farm, run by the same family for four generations, spreads over an estate of around 50 hectares, growing a multitude of crops, predominantly cereals.
The house has been renovated to preserve its original features; the owners made the decision not to include fencing or gates, preferring to integrate the property with the thriving surrounding nature. The colourful and romantic guest rooms have private bathrooms, and also offer hand-embroidered family linen and a flower-filled terrace, perfect for enjoying views of the surrounding nature. Breakfast comprises of a delicious selection of sweet and savoury homemade delicacies.
The agriturismo’s cuisine is prepared using ingredients from the farm itself – vegetables, fruit, flour, preserves, produce from the barnyard animals and eggs – a tasty selection of typical local dishes, with seasonal, wholesome menus.
All guests also have access to the sun terrace with shower, and the children's play area adjacent to the small woodland where the goats graze.
There are bright and colourful flowers to admire, both inside the house and out - in spring the combination of poppies and cornflowers (“fiordalisi” in Italian, hence the agriturismo's name) is a truly unforgettable sight.
The agriturismo is perfect for those who love walking or mountain biking, and provides an excellent base for visiting the surrounding cities, such as Alba, Turin and Genoa, as well as the beautiful Asti with its historic and artistic heritage (Asti was one of the most important cities in Northern Italy during the Middle Ages). The Asti region is home to a wealth of castles, fortresses and hamlets and is well known for its fine food and wine.
Inform the agriturismo of any animals at the time of booking.
Owners will be held responsible for damage to property and persons.
