The agriturismo

The result of the owners’ desire to share their gastronomic, cultural and natural interests with guests, this agriturismo offers accommodation in a fully renovated building with swimming pool and the opportunity to taste local produce and specialities from the area.

The accommodation

La Corte has four rooms and a restaurant that seats up to 50 people. The rooms and the dining room are decorated with period furniture and accessories, creating a charming, intimate environment. The farmhouse has a swimming pool open to agriturismo guests and wi-fi internet access.

 

The restaurant uses local produce only, either from the farm itself or from local producers. Particular attention is paid to the kitchen, which mainly prepares traditional Piedmontese dishes, derived from French cuisine, especially as regards the antipasti, including Piedmont-style steak tartare, veal with tuna sauce, peppers, Olivier salad, omelettes and other dishes. The pasta dishes include agnolotti and gnocchi, strictly homemade. The main courses include Piedmont-style mixed fried offal, mixed boiled meats and roast meats. To end the meal, there is a good selection of traditional desserts.

Activities and surrounding

There are several places of interest to visit starting from the agriturismo. These include the Romanesque churches on the Via Francigena, the Shrine of Crea, the shrine of Castelnuovo Don Bosco and the city of Asti, of medieval origins. The Monferrato area is rich in medieval and Baroque monuments such as churches and castles, and produces excellent food and wine to taste or buy. Other activities available in the surrounding area include: horse riding, mountain biking or walking on trails specially equipped by the Province. There are golf courses a few miles away as well as other sports facilities.
