The agriturismo
A typical farm located in the hills between Langa and Monferratto, a true Agritourism that offers rooms with services, vacation apartments, and cooking typical of the area. The Agritourism La Mussia is situated in the heart of the classical zone of Barbera d’Asti, on a hill from the summit of which one enjoys an immense panoramic view.
The accommodation
The farmhouse has 6 double rooms ( 2 of which are communicating) and 2 single rooms all non-smoking and equipped with bathroom with shower, hairdryer, TV, heating. There are also 4 apartments with 2, 3 and 4/5 beds equipped with kitchen and air conditioning. Some rooms are also equipped with air conditioning (service on request and payment).
The farmhouse also offers the possibility to rent all the rooms on the first floor, booking the apartment Timo,for a total of maximum 16 beds, in double or single beds, with private bathroom in each room. There is also an additional bathroom, for a total of 9 bathrooms in the apartment. Equipped with independent kitchen and air conditioning in 4 of the 8 total rooms.
Guests can enjoy an excellent and genuine breakfast with cheeses, cold cuts and eggs served near the fireplace in the cold months or on the terrace in the summer months. Breakfast is buffet style and based on typical products, among the many delicacies we point out in particular the salami, cheese and eggs from our hen house that if you want you can go and collect, thus experiencing a different experience and in contact with nature.
Animals are welcome, but guests are asked to communicate their presence at the time of booking. Upon request, it is also possible to dine with products from the farm and exclusively seasonal products in the farmhouse, which is open as a restaurant only to guests staying at the farm.
The swimming pool is immersed in the vineyards and is reserved for guests staying at the property.
La Casa del Sole is an entire holiday home with a private pool located in Castagnole delle Lanze. It is NOT located in the farmhouse. Inside there are 4 bedrooms with air conditioning on the first floor (8 beds), a large living room, kitchen and two bathrooms. The house is rented to a single group. The entire structure is fenced, ideal for those traveling with a dog.
Activities and surrounding
The farm is very close to Alba, Asti, Acqui Terme and about 50 kilometers from Torino and an hour by auto from Genova. Many places are reachable by foot for the people that wish to see the area up close. Laura can give you advice as to the best things to see that will satisfy your interests. There are other interesting places to see via bicycle or motor scooter.
A few kilometers from the Agriturismo, it is possible to rent bicycles and motor scooters for tours through the villages of San Marzano Oliveto, Calamandrana, Agliano Terme, Vinchio and a plethora of others.
If you desire a different experience, a few steps from the Agriturismo, you can enjoy a new world aboard a four-wheeled drive off-road cycle and explore the sights of lower Monferrato with its vineyards of Moscato and Barbera d’Asti. You may choose to enjoy the valleys of the river Belbo and eventually reach the Comunità Montana dell'Alta Langa.
During the year, there are many events for you and your family to enjoy. Our area is really full of surprises and points of interest. Just think about a guided visit to the castles of the area and possibly to the antique fairs in Canelli, Moncalvo, Asti and Nizza Monferrato.
During all year, there are many wine and food fairs and exhibitions where you may sample our traditional cuisine.
In spring, the area is filled with the perfume of our wines, the best being the Festival of Barbera in Nizza Monferrato, Castagnole Lanze, Agliano and Montegrosso.
