The agriturismo

At over 200 meters above sea level and nestled in the picturesque scenery between the Langhe and Monferrato , it stands on a panoramic plateau and dominates the estate of over sixteen hectares.

It offers an exclusive stay in elegant rooms with world-class amenities, Piedmontese cuisine, and a restaurant with wine tasting room and local products.

The outdoor swimming pool , from which you can enjoy unforgettable views, is equipped with deck chairs and sun loungers.

The facility is ready to welcome animal friends.

It can also be the location for corporate events and weddings.

The accommodation

Founded in 1973 by a pioneer in the industry, Michele Dafarra, the agritourism was born on a solid foundation, inheriting the wine vocation of Cav. Giuseppe Dafarra, who in the 1960s bought the La Piazza dei Signori Cassanello estate in Genoa. From those days on, ownership and management of the agritourism complex will remain the prerogative of the Dafarra family now in its third generation.

Located over 200 meters above sea level and nestled in the picturesque scenery of the Basso Monferrato, the agritourism has been offering a service of hospitality and authenticity for 32 years.

It also stretches over a very scenic plateau and dominates the predominantly wine-growing estate of over sixteen hectares.

Available to guests are 12 finely renovated rooms in an elegant and essential style, equipped with world-class amenities.

The farmhouse offers a menu that reflects typical Piedmontese cuisine: simple and genuine including grilled peppers with 'bagna cauda', ravioli del 'plin' with roast gravy, egg tajarin with porcini mushrooms, Piedmontese-style mixed fried foods, mixed boiled meats, 'bunet' and no shortage of dishes reworked by Chef Jose.
The restaurant provides full wedding services , banquets, buffets, business breakfasts, with lunch and dinner by reservation. Wine and local products tasting room. For more romantic evenings, the facility has a finely renovated intimate and cozy dining room.

Le Cantine Dafarra
Historic winery dating back to the 17th century with tuff infernot, now the scene of many activities including 'sinoire' snacks, theme nights, theatrical and musical events. Production cellar: since 1960 the Dafarra winery has been producing typical Piedmontese wines including Barbera d'Asti and Moscato d'Asti.

Activities and surrounding

The farmhouse offers the possibility to organize horseback riding, walks or trekking among the vineyards, visits to distilleries; it is also possible to buy and taste the farm's typical products.

The agritourism is 15 km from Alba (symbolic place of the truffle fair and the international wine fair) and 15 km from Asti (medieval city icon of the Palio -third Sunday in September- and of village festivals -second Sunday in September-, home of the Centro Studi Alfieriani).

The latter two towns are connected by the SS Asti-Alba, 15 km from the Asti Est exit and a half-hour highway ride from Turin (with the Duomo, Palazzo Madama, the Egyptian and Cinema Museums at the Mole, the Reggia di Venaria and Stupinigi), 3 km from the castle of Costigliole d'Asti, home of the prestigious Grinzane Cultural Park (literary and theatrical festival) and ICIF (Italian Culinary Institute For Foreigners), 20 km from Canelli (theater of the famous Siege, a historical reenactment of the town), 2.5 km from the nearest fs station (Motta di Costigliole). Those who want to relax at the spa can reach Acqui Terme in just 35 minutes. While those who want to indulge in some shopping can reachSerravalle Outlet, the largest outlet inEurope, in 60 minutes.
