The agriturismo
Nestled among the vineyards of Monferrato, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the farm grows vegetables, fruit, hazelnuts, flowers, herbs and the prized Moscato, Barbera, Cortese, Chardonnay and Brachetto grapes in about 12 hectares of land. The farm's own and local products are used in the farm restaurant, which offers tasty home cooking for breakfast and dinner, with recipes from the area, paired with the famous Monferrato wines.
For the "overnight only" rate, the supplement for breakfast is € 8.50/person. In low season, only sweet light breakfast is served with extra eggs.
Dinner consists of a 4-course set menu.
For relaxation, the farmhouse has a beautiful panoramic swimming pool and plenty of garden.
The accommodation
The agritourism is situated on the top of a hill within the Castle of Maranzana, a fine 12th-13th century building, and enjoys a splendid view of the Monferrato region that embraces the Alps and the Apennines.
Guests can stay overnight in the spacious family suites or in the romantic "tower," enjoy dinner with kmzero ingredients in the farmhouse restaurant, relax under the pergola sipping a glass of good local wine or in the panoramic swimming pool with solarium.
Among the services offered: free Wi-fi throughout the facility; visit to the farm's vegetable garden and animal enclosure; picnic area. Tasting reservation service.
JUNIOR SUITE IN THE TOWER
Small romantic suite located in the west tower of the castle, in a panoramic and quiet position. Features designer bathroom with shower. Highly recommended as a bridal suite for newlyweds or honeymooners.
FAMILY SUITE "ALBA"
Spacious and bright room, particularly suitable for families with young children . It has a large private bathroom with shower.
Amenities: welcome kit for children.
2-BEDROOM SUITE "SUNSET"
Spacious suite with 2 double bedrooms and private bathroom with bathtub. It enjoys a lovely view and is the perfect solution for families with older kids.
ALL rooms have air conditioning, refrigerator and kettle.
The pool is open from June 1 until September 15, 2025.
The restaurant is open from April 5 until October 11, 2025.
In keeping with the environmental sustainability criteria adopted by our farmhouse, daily room cleaning service and linen change are on request only.
Activities and surrounding
For guests who like to move around, the farmhouse offers various activities: a visit to thefarm's vegetable garden and animal enclosure, a Nordic walking trail, a photo-remembrance at a "big bench."
Services in collaboration with partner companies, available by reservation and for a fee: electric bike rental, guided electric bike tour, visit to a winery with wine tasting, vineyard experiences, visit to a company that grows organic hazelnuts with pastry tasting.
Easily accessible is the famous Aquarium of Genoa, and for shopping enthusiasts, theSerravalle Scrivia outlet is not to be missed.
Also recommended is a visit to the city of Turin, with its elegant center and many museums for all tastes.
Asti is 40 km away; Alessandria 25 km and Acqui Terme 12 km.

I have been managing Ma Che Bel Castello since 2014 along with my family.
We take care of: we cook for the guests, we welcome the guests, we take care of the crops.
It was a desire to to pursue a passion which led me to run an agriturismo.
Our guests especially like the warm family welcome.
