The agriturismo

The company was founded in '94 with the intention of promoting the Langa and Monferrato area with the "big six": fantastic vegetables, cheeses, hazelnuts, meats, wines and truffles.

 

You are accommodated in twentieth-century style rooms and there is a restaurant serving traditional dishes such as bollito misto, agnolotti al plin, and bagna caoda.

A genuine welcome typical of these peasant realities, on the hills around Canelli, in the center of an evocative landscape.

The accommodation

The 2.2 hectares have predominantly vineyard use. There is a 60-seat restaurant hall with old terracotta floors and from which there is a beautiful view as far as the Alps. The grapes yield Dolcetto and Moscato wines. The land also gives many products that end up in excellent preserves. The wood-burning fireplace warms even in the coldest seasons.

 

The rooms are single, double and triple with possible extra bed at a discounted price.

Activities and surrounding

Langa and Montferrat are regions full of history and tradition, enjoying extremely fertile terrain and a mild microclimate thanks to their proximity to both the coast (45 km) and the hills which shelter them from colder currents. The area remains off the beaten tourist track, the perfect place to get lost among vines, fruit trees and woodland. Guests can enjoy delicious truffles and mushrooms, depending on the season, as well as wonderful acacia honey and tasty walnuts. The rivers are rich in trout, carp, chub, bleak (excellent for frying) and eel.

The agriturismo works in partnership with a riding school, a golf course and a cycling guide association, with the possibility of discounts for guests. Guests staying for 2 days or more also have access to the swimming pool.

Canelli is well-known for its wines and traditional spumantes, such as Moscato d'Asti and Asti Spumante.

Asti is just a short distance away (25 km), along with Alba (30 km) and Roero, but also Liguria (78 km takes you to Savona, 100 km to Genoa) and Piedmont (88 km takes you to Turin). Milan is 150 km away. Be sure to visit the hamlets of Cortemilia and Aqui (both 25 km away).
