Loc. Cala Cartoe, , Siddai 08022 Dorgali (Nuoro)
Located on a farm covering approximately 25 hectares predominantly planted with olive groves and vineyards, the agriturismo is family-run. Mediterranean shrubland surrounds the area and characterises the landscape, interspersed here and there by woodland and the Rio Littu stream.
The place is ideal for outdoor walks.
The accommodation dates back to the early 1950s. The conversion of farm buildings has created comfortable, neat rooms in a row, all with ensuite bathrooms. The windows are fitted with mosquito blinds and shutters.
The agriturismo restaurant focuses on traditional homemade dishes, using produce from the farm following Dorgali recipes. Where necessary, neighbouring farms are used to source ingredients.
Located in the Dorgali countryside, at the foot of Mount Irveri, the agriturismo is an excellent base for hiking and climbing enthusiasts. A little under 2 km away is the sea in Cala Cartoe, which gave the agriturismo its name.
Nearby, there are also natural sites like the caves in Ispinigoli (5 minutes from us), the “S’abba Frisca” natural ethnic museum park, and the nuragic village of Serra-Orrios.
Excursions are organised to the Gorroppu gorge, the famous nuragic site of Tiscali, the “Thomes” giants’ grave, the Nuraghe Mannu and the Dolmen Di Motorra. By ferry, it is easy to visit the Bue Marino grotto, and all the bays of the Gulf of Orosei.
Inform the agriturismo of any animals at the time of booking.
Hi, my name is Pantaleo e Pietro and I am 34 years old.
The photo is of me and a colleague, Mio fratello Pietro
I have been managing Cala Cartoe since 2008 along with a colleague.
As well as we cook for the guests, we take care of the crops, we rear the animals.
It was a desire to to keep the family business alive which led me to run an agriturismo.
Our guests' favourite thing about Cala Cartoe is the food.
