The agriturismo

Stazzo La Cerra is a typical Gallura farm, set in a context of unspoiled nature.

The family environment allows guests to learn about the territory and the typical agricultural practices of Gallura. We will tell you about our respect for nature, the photovoltaic system that makes us self-sufficient for electricity, the breeding of cattle that graze 12 months a year in the open and how we can live and work with nature without consuming it: it will be a pleasure to get to know each other and exchange our experiences.

The family-run farm covers 75 hectares of pastures, cork oak and granite rocks where cattle are raised in the wild and beekeeping is practiced. Pigs and barnyard animals are also raised and an organic vegetable garden is cultivated.

The accommodation

The structure of the accommodations is built respecting the local typology of the Gallurese stazzo. Starting from a typical granite monolith of the area, it extends in its length in four double rooms with bathroom and an accommodation with two rooms and a bathroom (suitable for families with children). The lodgings then connect to a common space consisting of a large, bright living room with a fireplace and a kitchen with everything needed for breakfasts. Inside the living room there is also a small exhibition on cork extraction, which we practice every 10 years.

A short 200-meter walk through the cork forest and here is the kitchen facility where dinner is served.

The menu has many traditional Gallura dishes, but also national and international ones. The products are mostly from the farm or from neighboring farms. The pasta is always homemade. The family environment and our vegetable garden also allow us to cater for vegetarians or those with intolerances or allergies.

 

 

Activities and surrounding

The farm is not far from Mount Pulchiana, the largest granite monolith in Europe, which is also easily accessible on foot. For climbers, it is possible to reach the top of Pulchiana via two multipitch routes. There are also several areas in our grounds for practicing bouldering. We have guides, maps and equipment for practicing climbing and crash-pads for bouldering available.

2 professional montain-bikes are also available. We will also gladly provide you with directions to practice other activities such as canoeing or horseback riding.

You can reach the sea in less than half an hour by scenic, traffic-free roads even in the busiest months.

Throughout the year it is possible to organize nature and archaeological excursions, courses in ceramics, watercolor, cork working, shiatsu, beekeeping, permaculture, baking.
A large room of 90 square meters is dedicated to these activities.
