The agriturismo
The farm extends for approximately 20 hectares, with pastures, gardens and olive groves, into the Flumini Mannu River valley (where the town of Fluminimaggiore got its name), nestled in the uncontaminated Mediterranean vegetation only a few steps from the sea and the most famous mining villages in Sulcis Iglesiente, the beating heart of the Geological/Mineral, Historical, Environmental Park of Sardinia. The farm sells its produces directly, including olive oil and olives in brine.
The agriturismo is based on the principles of sustainability and quality of life, and offers a relaxing, peaceful environment, also with popular excursions on foot, mountain bikes and motorcycles.
The accommodation
In the central dining room guests can enjoy delicious dishes prepared exclusively with seasonal products from the “local supply chain” (products from the farm or local producers). The fragrances and flavors of the cuisine are enhanced by the refined extra virgin olive oil produced with estate olives.
There are four peaceful and comfortable guest rooms available with private bathrooms, independent entrances, Wi-Fi and balconies with views of the sea.
Activities and surrounding
Sulcis Iglesiente is a territory boasting 550 million of years of history, today considered to be a tiny paradise on the southwestern coast of Sardinia, a few kilometers from Buggerru and the pristine sand dunes of Piscinas (at 30 km). There are many points of interest in the area: in the span of 10 kilometers, the beaches of Portixeddu-San Nicolò, Cala Domestica, Capo Pecora (perfect for snorkeling) and Scivu. It is also possible to visit the ancient mines (Galleria Henry, Galleria Villamarina, Porto Flavia...), the caves of Su Mannau and S. Barbara, the Temple of Antas and the Tombs of the Giants.
The area also offers fully equipped cliff walls for free climbing, tens of kilometers of gravel roads for mountain biking and many trails for hiking and horseback riding.
