The agriturismo
The apartments are located around a central vineyard, and all have amazing views of the bay of Taormina and mount Etna. The Agriturismo is a place of fantastic biodiversity, where you can relax in nature and see sites like Taormina and Randazzo within a 1hr drive. All recently renovated there are four apartments to choose from, Balletti (65 sqm), Orientale Sicula (65 sqm), Notti Stellate (95 sqm) and the Loft (45sqm). Discreetly located and modern, all the properties come with a spacious living room, comfortable beds, a modern shower room, and private entrance. Only the loft has no kitchen, however we are happy to set up the outdoor kitchen and barbeque for guest use.
The accommodation
My name is Davide and I am a vigneron on Mount Etna. I am passionate about sharing my love of this region with my guests. Please get in touch if you have any questions. Our Agritourism, Notti Stellate means starry nights. This property is made up of 4 tastefully furnished apartments, situated in a large private vineyard and olive orchard. Recently fitted in 2016 with all modern conveniences, the properties have amazing views of Mount Etna and over the bay of Taormina. Enjoy clear skies, in atranquil natural setting on Mount Etna. Guests are completely independent with all major sites easily reachable in a 2 hour drive.
Activities and surrounding
Wine Tours - The agrotourism is located on one of the most thriving areas of wine production on Etna. On request we can organise tours of our own cellars as well as other producers around Sicily. We also offer a range of tasting experience to suit every price range, for more information please see our website Etnella. Cultural Sites - Ideally located to visit the Eastern coast of Sicily. The agroutourism is well connected to the A18 (CT-ME) and is only a few km from Fiumefreddo. Nearby is the picturesque village of Piedimonte Etneo where you can find the bus stop and the Circumetnea (train of Etna). Not to mention that Catania, Taormina, the natural marine reserve of Marina di Cottone and Siracusa are all reachable by car. Leisure Activities - Swim in the Natural Marine reserve of Marina di Cottone, or head to the bay of Taormina, Tindari and the coastal towns of Riposto, Pozzillo, AciTrezza. During winter you can Ski on Mount Etna and trek through the dramatic landscape. Markets - We can advise you on the best local producers and artisans for meat, cheese and fresh fruit and vegetables. Or you can head to Acitrezza, Catania or Riposto for the historic and traditional fish markets. Horse Riding - On request we can organise riding lessons at the nearby riding school. Piedimonte is the nearest train station, and from there is the bus to Presa, but we advise that you come by car. Catania airport - 1 hour Catania city centre - 40 min Acitrezza - 40 mins Taormina - 30 mins Etna - 30 mins Siracusa - 1 hr 30 mins
