The agriturismo
The Agriturismo is located 900 m above sea level and is the result of a redevelopment of existing buildings. Eco-sustainable, it is located within the Etna Park.
The philosophy ofeco-sustainabilityis followed, moreoverour enterprise is an Organic farm. We offer tastings of typical Sicilian products, wines and oil of own production EVO.
With educational farm: activities with herbs, excursions on the farm with tastings.
Viola Nel Parco is located in Sant'Alfio, just a few kilometers from the Castagno dei Cento Cavalli, the oldest chestnut tree in the world, 31 km from Catania, 20 km from Taormina and 34 km from the nearest Catania-Fontanarossa Airport.
The accommodation
The structure is surrounded by the woods of Etna and its privileged position allows visitors to have an excellent view of Etna. Viola nel Parco is located a few kilometers from the main nature trails and Rifugio Citelli and Piano Provenzana.
The farmhouse has ten beds, distributed between an apartment (with kitchenette) and four independent rooms that overlook a courtyard.
All accommodations have a private bathroom, heating, sheets and towels, courtesy kit and free WiFi access.
Guests can have access to all common spaces both outdoors and indoors, such as the small library with relaxation area.
Breakfast is based on local products and only by reservation it is possible to use the restaurant
.
There is also an in-ground salt-water swimming pool and all guests have access to sun loungers and deck chairs.
Activities and surrounding
The guests of the Viola nel Parco farmhouse can choose among different types of tourist, naturalistic, food and wine and sport activities.
It is possible to explore and learn about the Etna Park with organized excursions, and to admire all its typical varieties of apples and cherries by visiting the two garden-museums of the agriturismo.
The property is also included in the BikersHotel and Albergabici databases, two TOP services for cyclists and motorcyclists who need a comfortable overnight stay during their journey.
In just 15 minutes you can reach the sea, the ski fields and the base point for excursions to the Crater, while moving for a few tens of km you can visit Taormina , Catania andSyracuse, not far away are also Acireale and the suggestive Timpa reserve as well as Acitrezza and theProtected Marine Area Isola dei Ciclopi. Catania airport is 40 minutes away.

The owner was very, very nice. She made super suggestions for trips to the area. She is an excellent cook, really! One night she made us a very good Sicilian dinner. Each breakfast was plentiful, of excellent quality and with some home-grown produce.
