The agriturismo
Agriturismo Fontanelle is just five minutes from the A20 motorway toll (Milazzo_ Isole Eolie exit), and a ten minute drive from the port of Milazzo, and offers guest accommodation and a restaurant in the old farm buildings of a historic 1800s rural hamlet.
The country style self-catering apartments each include a kitchenette, covered patio for dining, Wi-Fi and TV.
The restaurant uses organic ingredients and serves mainly regional cuisine. The farm also produces and sells red and white organic Mamertino PDO wine and organic Valdemone PDO extra virgin olive oil.
The accommodation
At Agriturismo Fontanelle, guest accommodation is available in the ancient hamlet's traditional little farmhouses. Each house has been recently renovated to bring it back to its original splendour. Today, following the renovation of the hamlet, the old oil mill with its millstones and the olive press, and the old wine cellar where the grapes were once pressed to obtain the must, now house the agriturismo's restaurant. The small rural hamlet includes the manor house, the farm workers' houses, the stables and the oil and wine stores, offering a total of 10 guest beds. These are spread across three independent rural holiday homes, all simple yet comfortable:
House 1: three beds, one double and one single, in a single, open-plan space with lounge area with TV and Wi-Fi, bathroom with shower, independent kitchen with mini-bar, and a veranda where you can have lunch with garden access.

Activities and surrounding
Agriturismo Fontanelle is just a 5 minute drive from Milazzo, a town rich in age-old history, with its ancient churches and castle. 5 minutes by car also takes you to the sea. The western seafront is truly stunning: 5 kilometres of beach or, around the headland, the rocky seabed provides a beautiful marine habitat.
You can also enjoy a day trip to the Aeolian Islands.

We enjoyed a quiet stay here in mid-April. The location is ideal for exploring the area and nearby Aeolian Islands. Our host was fantastic and very sweet! We loved the wine and olive oil made on the property. I highly recommend a stay at this farmhouse.
