The agriturismo

The agritourism is located on the border of the Nebrodi Park, overlooking the high Timeto valley a few kilometers far from the town of San Piero Patti. It offers accommodations, traditional cuisine, horseback riding and the possibility of interesting excursions.

The accommodation

The farmhouse Il Capitano, recently renovated with respect for its traditional architecture in localstone and wood, is composed of single, double and triple rooms with bathrooms, including one room specially equipped for people  with disabilities, and satellite TV.
In the dining room guests can enjoy a natural cuisine, traditional and healthy dishes based on local and typical products.
 
 
 

 

Activities and surrounding

The farm is located along the border of Nebrodi Park, the largest in Sicily, which retains its natural and geological features. It is built on a 25 acres, mostly woods, at an altitude of 900 meters above sea level,overlooking the valley of Timeto. The lodge offers a playground and a children's pool,archery, darts, bowling, fishing and mountain bike rental.

It is also an ideal base for numerous excursions, riding lessons and trail rides are available for a fee.
The fresh air inspires relaxing walk in the woods between the hazelnuts, walnuts and chestnuts, where it is not difficult to see some of the local fauna: foxes, porcupines, weasels, cats of Nebrodi (a wild cat only Italian), martens and dormice. Looking up in the skye you can see the hovering hawks and kites.

The lodge is located a few kilometers from the city of San Piero Patti, where you should visit the monastery, which dates back to 1400, the Cathedral of Santa Maria and the historic Arab-Norman city center.
Nearby you can visit the typical sites of Casal Floresta, Montalbano Helicon, the SanctuaryTinda, Patti, Milazzo and the Aeolian islands.
