The agriturismo

The organic farm "Il Capitano" is located on the border of the Nebrodi Park, its location overlooking the upper Timeto Valley a few kilometers from the towns of San Piero Patti and Floresta. It offers accommodation in rooms, traditional and organic cuisine , riding stables, heated pool, sauna and interesting excursion possibilities.

The accommodation

The farmhouse, recently renovated respecting the traditional architecture in stone and local wood, consists of single, double and triple bedrooms with bathrooms, one of which is equipped for disabled persons. All rooms have independent heating and satellite TV.
In the dining room you can delight in genuine cuisine, as traditional as it is healthy, based on organic and local products. The farm is BioAgricert certified.

Activities and surrounding

The agritourism farm is located on the border of the Nebrodi Park, the largest in Sicily, of which it maintains the natural and geological characteristics.
It spreads over an area of about 60 hectares with a tree-lined character with a prevalence of hazel groves, at an altitude of 950 meters above sea level. Its location dominates the upper Timeto Valley. The facility provides guests with a playground and a heated telescopic swimming pool for adults and children, the opportunity to relax in the sauna or to shoot archery or play darts, use a bocce court or ride mountain bikes.

In addition, the facility is an ideal starting point for hiking trails and, for a fee, it is possible to take horseback riding lessons and go horseback riding.
The air, fresh and crisp, invites you to pleasant walks in the green among hazelnut, walnut and chestnut groves, where it is not difficult to come across typical specimens of local fauna: foxes, porcupines, Nebrodi cat (the only Italian wild cat specimen), martens and looking up you can admire the circling of hawks and kites.

The property is located a few kilometers from the town of San Piero Patti, where it is recommended to visit the 15th-century convent, the cathedral of Santa Maria of 1200 A.D. and the Arab-Norman historic center.
Nearby you can visit: Casal Floresta, Montalbano Elicona, The Sanctuary of Tindari, Patti, Milazzo and the Aeolian Islands.
