Agriturismo Petrantica

An ancient fondaco built in 1642, Petrantica is an elegant agritourism-resort with swimming pool nestled in the typical Ragusa countryside.

Surrounded by 4 hectares of land, it offers a large infinity pool (200 sqm) overlooking the sea and the green Irminio River Reserve.

The resort consists of 10 apartments, all with a kitchen or kitchenette, equipped with air conditioning, toaster, refrigerator, coffee maker, bidet, toiletries, desk, kettle, wardrobe, and private bathroom .

Rooms in some cases have a terrace and/or sea views.

The property has a large and elegant room where breakfasts are served .

Outside there is a large infinity pool (200 sq m) that enjoys a splendid panoramic view of the surrounding countryside, the Foce dell'Irminio nature reserve, and the nearby sea. The pool, with slightly salty water, has a whirlpool corner and is in common and exclusive use for resident guests only. It is surrounded by an elegant wood-paneled solarium furnished with garden furniture and also has a changing room with showers and toilets.

A well-maintained garden (1,300 sq. m.), filled with fruit trees, succulents and flower varieties, surrounds the entire facility and offers a large barbecue for communal use, as well as a lovely children's playground.

Guests also have free use of the padel court and bocce court, which are on the property and come complete with the necessary equipment for play.

1) about 1.5 Km south toward the sea: Foce del Fiume Irminio Nature Reserve, a place of naturalistic interest, for walks on the beach and bathing in the sea; park your car at the visitor center.

2) about 2 km to the west: Marina di Ragusa, ideal for shopping of all kinds, promenade walks, restaurants.

3) about 6 km to the east: Donnalucata, where you can buy fish at the fishermen's small port, stroll along the seafront, swim in the sea and spend relaxing moments on the beach.

4) about 10 km to the west: archaeological excavations at Caucana.

5) about 10 Km to the northeast: Scicli and its baroque architecture.

6) about 20 Km to the west: Kamarina archaeological excavations and museum.

7) about 20 Km to the northwest: Donnafugata castle and garden.

8) about 20 km to the northeast: Modica and its baroque architecture.

9) about 25 Km to the north: Ragusa Ibla and its baroque architecture.

10) about 30 Km to the northeast: Cava d'Ispica and its early Christian settlements.

11) about 35 Km to the north: Santa Rosalia Lake and the tributary quarries of the Irminio River.

12) about 50 km to the east: Capo Passero and its island.

13) about 50 km to the northeast: Pantalica, the largest rock necropolis in Europe and the nature reserve of the Anapo River

14) about 50 km to the north: Palazzolo Acreide and its Greek theater.

15) about 60 km to the east: The baroque of Noto.

16) about 60 km to the east: Marzamemi and the Vendicari Nature Reserve.

17) about 70 km to the east: the Cassibile gorges and its small lakes.

18) about 90 km to the east: Syracuse . The museum, archaeological area, waterfront, Ortigia, and Euryalus Castle are worth a visit.

19) about 120 km to the northwest: the mosaics of the Roman villa at Piazza Armerina.

20) about 140 km to the northwest: the archaeological excavations at Morgantina and the museum at Aidone.

21) about 150 km to the north: the Etna Natural Park.

22) about 150 km to the north: Taormina with its Roman Greek theater, belvedere, public gardens, and main street.
