The agriturismo
Villa Zottopera is an ancient Villa of the 700-800, South-East of Sicily rich in history, art and nature, a few kilometers from Ragusa Ibla, Modica, Scicli. You can stay in one of the 5 comfortable apartments, once the peasants, or, in one of the 3 Charming Suites, on the first floor of the Patronal House. If you are 2 or 3 families of relatives or friends, you can reserve the entire Casa Patronale, equipped with 10-11 beds, with a large kitchen, and a huge terrace for unforgettable moments and experiences, especially in the evening. The structure has a swimming pool, a tennis court, a large Mediterranean garden, trappeto, the church, brings back a unique atmosphere. On request it is possible to dine and participate in the Siciiana Kitchen Workshops.
The accommodation
Villa Zottopera includes a total of 8 accommodations:
5 comfortable apartments, from 2 to 5 seats, which still retain the construction features and furnishings of the past, have one or two bedrooms, kitchen, shower-bath, air conditioning, TV, veranda on the garden. They were obtained from the ancient court on the "baglio": Casa dei Tutù. Casa delle Rose, Casa del Prete, Casa della Mannira, Casa di Massa Vito.
3 Charming Suites, from 5, 3 and 2 beds, located in the Prestigious Area of the Patronal House: Le Stanze dello Scirocco, (5 beds), Rooms of the Libeccio (3 beds), Stanze dello Zefiro (2 beds) . These Suites have been recently renovated according to refined and functional architectural and furnishing devices.
In the Patronal House there is a large kitchen and a large dining room that we normally provide for the Stanze dello Scirocco, but on request we can make available to the other two Suites. The Patronal House is equipped with a large terrace, pet to spend in peace the omenti of the evening, the dinners etc ...
Being an autonomous body, the Patronal house with its 10-11 beds, 4 bathrooms, a kitchen and terrace grotto, lends itself to accommodate groups of 2-3 families or friends who can share spaces and services in common, being the various environments, with certain expedients, communicable.
All accommodations will be delivered furnished and cleaned. Cleaning is guaranteed every 7 days. On request and upon payment according to the client's needs.
The Pool, 11m x 6m, surrounded by trees of Mediterranean species, figs, carob trees, olive trees, etc .. is surrounded by a solarium space in Sicilian terracotta, and a Veranda, where in the evening, for ch déisdera, you can dine with the tasty dishes of our cook.
To be specified that evening catering service is reserved exclusively for our internal guests !!
Possibility of:
1) Visit the ancient environments of the company: the old oil mill with the oil cellar, the old barn, in Mannira delle Pecore, the Cantina del Vono and the Palmento, the Giebbe, company tour on foot or in Tractor, etc .. There is the possibility for guests to collect our products of the countryside, vegetables, fruit, etc.
2) Participate in the workshops of Sicilian folk cuisine and Olive Oil tasting courses, including the renowned "Villa Zottopera" Oil
3) Take advantage of some Mountbike to visit our countryside, through the trazzere of the past
4) Dine, only for our guests, in the Veranda of the pool.
Free services: Swimming pool, welcome breakfast basket, tennis and five-a-side pitch, mountain bike; vegetables, fruit and eggs to be harvested on the farm.

It is easy to find Villa Zottopera: a few Km from the SS (State Road), 514 at the Chiaramonte-turning, going towards Acate til reaching Roccazzo (you will find a detailed map on our web-site).The place is easy to reach from Catania Airport: it takes about 50 minutes. The coach from Catania stops near by. We are situated in the centre of a fascinating historical area rich of culture: Modica, Noto, Ragusa Ibla, Agrigento, Siracusa, Caltagirone, etc....
We are at 25 minutes from the sea where you can visit beatiful places: Marina di Ragusa, Scoglitti, Punte Secca, Punta Braccetto, etc...
Chiaramonte is a nice little Ibleian town (KM 10) with its 5 museums.

The central building surrounded by apartments and service-rooms, is authentic Sicilian, and lies amid the olive trees. You are welcomed by a warm family and staff. Very neat apartments, fully equipped. Large gardens around the swimming pool (also tennis court available).
