The Althuberhof farm offers vacations in the Casies Valley.
The farm's agricultural activity is based on running a dairy farm with 16 dairy cows and young cattle.
Although in a prime location in the heart of a picturesque landscape, the farm makes it possible to reach the center in the blink of an eye.
Starting from the farm, it is possible to venture out on a variety of hikes.
In winter, the cross-country ski slope can be reached within a 5-minute walk.
The accommodation
The Althuberhof farm, run by the Felderer family, is located at 1200 m.
Mainly milk is produced on the farm; since 1998 this activity has been integrated with agritourism.
The property has an apartment that can accommodate up to four people.
On the beautiful terrace you can have a relaxing lunch and regenerate yourself forgetting the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The farm is an ideal starting point for excursions. Close to the cross-country trail and the bicycle path.
Activities and surrounding
The Althuberhof farm is conveniently located.
Just 2 km from the farm, you can reach the center and shop: the stores are open Monday through Friday mornings and afternoons, as well as Saturday mornings (7:30 a.m. - 12 noon; 3 p.m. - 7 p.m.; Thursday afternoons closed).
The farm is a starting point for pleasant hikes (distance 2 - 10 km):
- "Bewirtschaftungs-Steig" trail;
- Smugglers' Trail (Schmuggler-Steig);
- Trail of Customs (Brauchtums- and Traditionssteig);
- Tesido Fairy Tale Trail;
- "Schneider Waldil" Recreation Area;
- Rudlbach Pyramids Kneipp Path in Tesido.
In the surrounding area, numerous bike paths including the Monguelfo to Casies Valley bike path and the Monguelfo to Lienz bike path.
Lake Braies, the outdoor swimming pool in Monguelfo (distance 10km) and the cross-country trail (distance 50m) are worth a visit.
