Activities and surrounding
Thanks to its central location, Terlano is a town with plenty to do all year round. In spring, the whole valley is covered with splendid flowers, which can be admired from the Wine Route or the cycle lanes that cross orchards and vineyards. In summer, guests can take excursions to Monzoccolo or the Dolomites, taking a break at a typical local Buschenschank (rural inn) to sample a glass of wine accompanied by local specialities. Autumn is apple and grape harvest time in Terlano, while winter sees towns lit up for the Christmas Markets in Bolzano and Merano.
The local area offers a range of pursuits for sport enthusiasts: 4 tennis courts, outdoor swimming pool, ski resorts which can be easily reached in less than a 35-minute drive.
Plenty of cultural, food and wine and traditional events too: the Easter Concert, the Asparagus Festival, the “Jörgimarkt” market, the food festivals, the summer late night openings and the traditional greasy pole (the festival held by the local folk dance group), which takes place every two years.
