Mühlegg 133, St. Johann, Costa Molini 133, San Giovanni 39030 Valle Aurina (Bolzano) Code 21108.146
The Guesthouse Koasa farm was opened in 2021: it offers the ideal solution for a sporty and luxurious stay in the Ahrntal Valley, designed for small groups of friends, families, retreat and seminar participants.
Hosts Cinzia and Markus provide guests with an entire wing of their farm, with 5 spacious rooms with panoramic views, a kitchen and a communal living room . Each room can accommodate 1 to 6 guests for a total of 21 guests. After a day of sports, guests poriless in the mini spa with sauna and infrared treatment.
The house was built with regional materials, some of which came from the farm itself.
The guesthouse is the perfect solution for a stay with your friends, families or for a corporate trip.
Guests will be given the use of an entire wing of the farmhouse. They can use the kitchen, move freely in all rooms and follow their own pace with maximum privacy.
The 5 rooms in the vacation house are furnished with care using regional materials: The wood for the floors comes from the farm's forests, the marble for the bathrooms was chosen from the Vinschgau mining area, and the loden fabrics for the curtains were made entirely in Bruneck.
The Mühlegg family suite features a panoramic window with an extra-large bench as a seat for meditating, reading, and enjoying the view of the Ahrntal Valley. It overlooks the Mühlegg part of the village, hence the name of the room. It forms the center of the house and offers the feeling of sleeping in a retreat. Behind its wooden paneling appears a very nice countertop for all those who wish to expand the room or use it together.
The Speikboden room, on the other hand, overlooks the farmhouse garden.
The Dreiherrn room is named after the Three Lords Peak, which borders three countries-Salzburg, East Tyrol, and South Tyrol.
The Klausberg room offers a beautiful view of sunsets from the balcony.
The Ahrntal room also gives a beautiful view from the window. It is a family suite and offers up to 4 beds.
The rooms are equipped with all amenities: rain shower, bidet, makeup mirror, hair dryer, and hair straightener.
The common kitchen and living room are equipped with refrigerator, sat-tv, board games and library.
There is space in the garden to relax and have a bonfire, play with sand and mini boulders.
Mountain biking is almost a must, trails and mountain paths require endurance; or ride everything by electric bike. If you want to be sure about the route, ask local guides.
The same goes for water: the main stream and side streams can be navigated: rafting and canyoning tours are offered.
Climbing, high altitude tours, paragliding, horseback riding-all with or without a guide. There are countless hiking trails of all levels of difficulty. Some trails start right outside the door of the Koasa farm.
There is plenty to do in Mühlegg itself. Just a short walk from the Guesthouse is Klaus's private carving workshop .A few meters from the creek is the mineral museum of Artur and the Kirchler family. Let yourself be transported by the treasures of the mountain world of the Ahrntal and surrounding valleys: Huge crystals and precious stones.A short walk takes you to the Frankbach Falls. Not far from here is the "Hexensteig" or Witches' Path, a small mystical hike for the whole family.
In the morning, the view goes immediately south toward the Speikboden recreation area. The ski lifts can be glimpsed in the distance. You can enjoy a trip to over 2,000 meters and views of the peaks of South Tyrol. We recommend a trip to the castle above Sand in Taufers, just a few hundred meters from the Speikboden valley station. It tells of life in the medieval Ahrntal valley and offers a beautiful park and tavern.
If you are heading down the valley, visit the Predoi mining gallery during the summer season. Guided tours in the gallery show how copper has been mined in the Ahrntal Valley since the Middle Ages. A section of the State Mining Museum is located in the immediate vicinity of the Klausberg valley station. Copper mining brought some wealth to the small valley. A high-quality reappraisal and an entertaining presentation of some of the Aurina Valley's secrets can be found in the historically significant mining building, the "Kornkasten," the Provincial Mining Museum Granary in Cadipietra.
The bus stops several times along the way in the market town of Sand in Taufers, where there is a pharmacy, supermarket and swimming pool. Getting off at the Mühlegg bus stop, you will find Guesthouse Koasa about 200 meters away.
